Voting is how we hold our leaders accountable and build the future we want for our families and our communities. Ryan believes every eligible Hoosier should have the information they need to cast a ballot that counts. Use this page to find out how to register, when to vote, and where to go on Election Day.

The Primary Election for State Representative is on Tuesday May 5th, 2026

The General Election for State Representative is on Tuesday November 3rd, 2026

Get Registered, Stay Registered

Registration closes 29 days before each election for most voters. Paper forms must be received by the deadline. Online registration closes at 11:59 PM local time.

  • Primary registration deadline: April 6, 2026

  • General registration deadline: October 5, 2026

Primary Election (2026)

  • Election Day: Tuesday, May 5, 2026

  • Polls open: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Registration deadline: April 6, 2026

  • Early voting begins: April 7, 2026

General Election (2026)

  • Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026

  • Polls open: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Registration deadline: October 5, 2026

  • Early voting begins: October 6, 2026

Vote Early In Person

You can vote early at your county at any early voting location in your county.

  • For the primary, early voting runs from April 7, 2026 through 12:00 PM on May 4, 2026

  • Similar early voting windows will be set for the general election in the fall.

Bring a valid photo ID.

Vote By Mail

If you qualify to vote absentee by mail, you can submit an ABS-MAIL application through your voter portal or by paper form.

  • Application deadline: April 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM

  • Ballot return deadline: ballot must be received by your County Election Board by 6:00 PM on Election day

Ballot Brought To You

If you are confined due to illness, injury or disability, you may qualify to vote through a traveling absentee board that comes to your residence.

  • Application deadline: May 4, 2026 at 12:00 PM

  • Be sure to check your registration and application status regularly

Military and Overseas Voting

If you are serving in the military or living overseas, you can use the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to both register and request absentee ballots for all elections in a calendar year.

Vote By Mail:

  • Application deadline: April 23, 2026

  • Ballot must be postmarked by May 5, 2026 and received by May 15, 2026 at 12:00 PM

Vote By Email or Fax:

  • Application deadline: May 4, 2026 at 12:00 PM

  • Ballot must be received by 6:00 PM on May 5, 2026

  • The FPCA must be renewed each year. It expires on December 31.

Accessible Voting Options

A voter with print disabilities is someone who cannot independently mark a paper ballot because of blindness, low vision or a physical disability that affects manual dexterity. These voters can use the ABS-VPD combined form to register and request an absentee ballot that can be marked using the accessible OmniBallot tool at home.

Key deadlines for ABS-VPD for the 2026 primary:

  • To register or update registration: submit ABS-VPD by April 6, 2026 or online by 11:59 PM on that date.

  • To vote absentee by email, fax or mail: ABS-VPD must be received by April 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

  • Ballot must be received by 6:00 PM on May 5, 2026.
